War of The Worlds: In The 33rd Century, is a crossover between Spielberg's War of The Worlds and Star Wars franchises.
No one would have believed, in the far future of the 33rd century, that human affairs were being watched from the far of the galaxy. That the planet Coruscant was being watched by bits of intelligence, greater than our own. That as men busied themselves, about their various concerns, they observed, and studied. No one could have dreamed, we were being scrutinized, as someone with the microscope studies unidentified species that swarm and multiply, in a drop of water. With infinite complacence humanity went to and fro over the Coruscant about their little affairs, serene in the assurance of their dominion over this small spinni…
Hello, I am Aaronbill3. I am an admin for the Ben 10 and Ben 10 Fan Fiction wikis, and I would like to help run this wiki. I have several ideas for renovations that would make the wiki more readable, including:
- Separate pages by continuity.
- Certain pages, specifically for the various war machines and the martians themselves, lack focus and would greatly benefit from being better divided by continuity to discern them.
- Introduce consistent and useful infoboxes.
- More specifically useful for technologies and continuities, this wiki suffers from a lack of easily accessible information and infoboxes can aid with that.
- More consistent formatting.
- This wiki strongly needs a formatting guideline to keep pages neat and tidy.
I was wondering if anyone else was in favour of deleting pages that link to actors and small characters. The actor pages may as well be external links as their pages either say lots that has nothing to do with War of the Worlds (E.g. Tom Cruise) or say nothing more than that they played the part they did (E.g. Tim Robbins) which you'll already know before you click the link.
As for minor characters I'd argue it makes more sense to put them all onto one page (E.g. Minor Characters in War of the Worlds (2005) ) than it does to have lots of pages with one line or less (E.g. Bill Ward)
I realise this will take a fair amount of time and we don't want to lose anyone's work so I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.
Some of you may not be aware, but I have found the first seven episodes to a lost War of the Worlds web-series released between 2008 and 2010, but was removed from YouTube for copyright infringment and uncensored gore. The 10-part series re-tells the classic story but changing the setting from Woking 1898 to Woking 2008. It also uses the music and Martian designs from the Jeff Wayne Musical, so this is the closest thing we're getting to a Jeff Wayne movie! If you have a look in the video section of this wiki, you will find all seven parts available to watch right now, however, they will be uploaded to YouTube starting June 14th. Please sperad the word for the released of something we have been waiting for since 2005!
In the Films and TV adaptations of The War of the Worlds, we've seen multiple versions of the iconic and deadly Fighting-machines - with more likely to follow in the future.
However, which version (or versions) are your favourites?
War of the worlds has crossed over a few tiems with other properties - from crossing over with other stories written by H.G.Wells such as The Time Machine and The Invisible Man to crossing over with one or more other properties such as with Superman, Sherlock Holmes, etc.
However, what would you like to see the War of the Worlds possibly crossover with in the future?
Out of the several film adaptations of "The War of the Worlds", did you have any favourite scene(s) from any or all of the films?
Another fan-made video I came across of a crossover between War of the Worlds and another property; in this case Team Fortress 2.
Came across this by accident and decided to share it. Enjoy. :)
It's now been 80 years since the original Orson Welles broadcast back in 1938 that was later dubbed "The Panic Broadcast".
So, enjoy the original broadcast here.
The War of the Worlds has had five video game adaptations;
- The 1982 Arcade game that was basically a "Space Invaders" clone; one version was monochrome and a later version came out in colour, although the game itself is extremely rare.
- The 1984 game for the ZX Spectrum.
- The 1998 game for the PC.
- The 1999 game for the PSOne.
- The 2011 game for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
However, if you had the opportunity to come up with a new game - be it a new adaptation of "The War of the Worlds", a sequel/prequel of the original story or a game that just uses elements from the book as part of another narrative, what would you do?
Go wild - there's no right or wrong answers, so use your imagination and be either as brief or as detailed as you wish.
We've seen a good number of War of the Worlds adaptations - whether they're films, tv/radio shows, video games, comics or music and whether they recreate the story in its original time period and location, recreate it elsewhere in the modern day, create a sequel to the story or just go wild with some plot elements been worked into a different story.
With a 3-part TV adaptation been made by the BBC (which will be set in the original time period and location but with some differences to keep the story 'fresh') that is due for release around Christmas, I want to know what is/are your favourite adaptations of the H.G.Wells story?

Hello War Of The Worlds World!
My name is Jay, and I write this blog post to inform you that I want to adopt this wiki to introduce a new modern era to it, and overall complete the mission of making this the best source for all things War Of The Worlds-related!
I'm a big designer, an incredible coder, and a great editor! I am an administrator and bureaucrat across almost 20 television wikis, the biggest being the Criminal Minds Wiki, the Pretty Little Liars Wiki and upcoming shows like the The Heiresses Wiki and the Castle Rock Wiki. My greatest project in terms of design and coding project (it's still in the works) is the Altered Carbon Wiki. I list those examples to prove to you that I'm capable of not only prove that I can revamp a wiki fr…
