Evil Dead 2: Revenge of the Martians is the fourth entry in the Evil Dead 2 limited comic series by Space Goat Publishing (beginning with Evil Dead 2: Beyond Dead By Dawn ), which follows a simulacrum of Ash Williams - created from his severed hand by Annie Knowby using the power of the Necronomicon Ex Mortis (roughly translated as "The Book of the Dead") - as he battles a variety of foes including Count Dracula, Krampus and demonically revived incarnations of Adolf Hitler and Jack the Ripper among other enemies.
The story itself is a crossover between the Evil Dead/Army of Darkness series and H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds, as it is revealed the original global invasion event that ocurred in the last years of the 19th century was real and - thanks to a modern day government experiment with a copy of the Necronomicon Ex Mortis - the bodies of the long-deceased Martians become possessed by the book's Kandarian Demons and are reborn as Deadites, before resuming control of their Fighting machines; thus leaving it to Ash and a pair of government agents to find a way to stop the Deadite Martians and to avert a second 'War of the Worlds'.

- In the comic, the simulacrum copy of Ash is using the Oldsmobile for his job as an Uber driver. Canonically, this doesn't make sense as the Oldsmobile was sucked into the past with the original Ash at the end of the film Evil Dead 2: Dead By Dawn as it appears in Army of Darkness and is transformed into the Deathcoaster. However, it could be that this version of Ash simply bought another Oldsmobile.
