The War of the Worlds is a three-part science-fiction television mini-series that aired on the T+E network from October 6 to October 20, 2019. It is the third adaptation of The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells that takes place in the original timeframe (the other two being Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of the Worlds and H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds) and the first-ever British television adaptation of the story.

Synopsis

Fighting Machine (BBC War of the Worlds)

Set in Edwardian England, this new adaptation of H.G. Wells' seminal tale - the first alien invasion story in literature - follows Amy and George as they attempt to survive a war with something that could almost be too hard to believe. A war with Martians. The War of the Worlds tells their story as they face the escalating terror of an alien invasion, fighting for their lives against an enemy beyond their comprehension.
